Invisalign®
The Invisalign treatment represents a revolution in orthodontics, where standard braces have been replaced by transparent aligners, fashioned precisely after you.
The most sophisticated technology enables the doctor to display 3D virtual models that they use for elaborating a precise treatment plan which involves all stages of changes in teeth position, and also to display the final results expected upon completion of the treatment.
According to a detailed time plan of the treatment, a specific number of aligners are created, to be exchanged every 1-2 weeks, which shift the teeth and act upon them both horizontally and vertically. The aligners are transparent, which provides them with a great aesthetic advantage, and in order to achieve the best possible results, it is recommended to wear them 20 to 22 hours per day.
WHY INVISALIGN?
- • Almost invisible
- • It is removable – if you have an important meeting, braces will no longer pose a problem
- • It requires a smaller number of visits to the orthodontist
- • Maintaining oral hygiene is carefree, because you can remove the braces and brush your teeth
- • 3D computer animation of the course of treatment and of the final results prior to the start of treatment
Transparent plastic foil in various forms was also used in dentistry before Invisalign. It was used in the form of aligners against bruxism or mobile retainers and also found its
application in aligners for teeth whitening at home. However, only recently has it found active use in orthodontic treatment. The Invisalign brand, world’s first transparent orthodontic appliance, is responsible for starting this new trend in orthodontics.
The system of aligners is created individually for each patient, according to the treatment plan known as ClinCheck. The patient receives a personalised package that contains their information and aligners, which fit only them.
Certain teeth have small attachments which shift the tooth and change the bite when the aligner presses on that spot. Invisalign is the first global brand for clear aligners that has joined together more than 11
million smiles.Apart from adults, Invisalign can also be worn by children and teenagers, and they can begin treatment earlier than would be the case with fixed braces. The Invisalign treatment makes it possible to treat almost all orthodontic anomalies and all patients are potential candidates. If necessary, experienced specialist orthodontists will combine Invisalign with other orthodontic techniques in order to resolve even the most complex anomalies within the shortest possible time.
